SAP's ERP application
supports a range of integration methods to
ensure other applications and integration systems in
an organisations landscape can communicate with the SAP system. To
help facilitate integration the SAP system supports a variety
of interface types including BAPI's, RFC's, web services and native IDOC
communication to ensure every touch point across the system can be integrated
with. But with over 2000 BAPI's, 10,000 RFC's and 1900 different
IDOC types in the SAP ERP system alone integration projects
can be difficult, costly and affect a business if they are
not performed correctly. This is compounded when additional
SAP systems such as the SAP CRM, SAP APO, SAP
HR/Payroll and SAP SRM are introduced into the SAP
landscape.
With an in depth
understanding of SAP integration using Web Services, RFC's,
BAPI's, natively IDOCS and the SAP Process Integration
platform (formerly XI), Acclimation has extended its
integration service offering to provide SAP integration
services (directly to SAP applications or via SAP Process
Integration) using the Microsoft BizTalk integration platform.
By bridging the gap between SAP and Microsoft Biztalk,

Biztalk to SAP integration experience leverages the Microsoft
Biztalk Adaptor for SAP and more traditionally through native
DCOM communication. Using the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for
SAP we have built up a range of integration templates (models
and mappings) to ensure our integration projects to reduce the
time and effort of an integration project. The Microsoft
Biztalk adaptor connectivity solution requires no coding to
integrate to the SAP system and supports Bidirectional
messaging patterns (synchronous (BAPI/ RFC) and asynchronous
(IDoc) as well as Transactional support (two-phase commit) via
SAP transactional Remote Functional Call (tRFC) protocol.
